As of lately!

Well - it is official. I am no longer an associate marketing manager of events and recognition at Nu Skin. This is a bittersweet move for me. It allows me to stay home and be a mother to Claire, but I did love my job. It's not very often that right out of college you find a dream job in the field that you studied. I loved every single minute of it. Right up until I left. Here are a few memorable moments from my Nu Skin days.
****first interview with Scott Schwerdt...went something like this..
Scott (is 45 minutes late) - so you want to work in events
Fallon - yes sir
Scott - *picks up phone and calls Shannon..on her day off...she is walking with Lucy in the park* Shannon, do you want an intern?
*uncomfortable silence while I try to decide if she is saying yes or no*
Scott - alright here is her number *gives Shannon my number - looks at me* well that was the easiest job interview you have ever had isnt it?
Little did I know, he is the president of the company.

****My first day - and surprisingly not my last
Shannon - hey we have a meeting, do you mind moving a couple of boxes into this storage room
Fallon - *moving heavy boxes back and forth*
Linda - who asked you to do this?
Fallon - ummm Shannon - these boxes were in my desk and i need a place to sit
Linda - well this isnt an events storage room and I am sick of this Sh*t being packed in there everytime they need somewhere to put it
Fallon - *stunned* I am just doing what I was told
Linda - *walks away apparently very angry*
Fallon - *unsure what to do, continues to move boxes into the non storage room.
Come to find out, its not Linda's storage room either...who knew

****convention 2007
Shared a room with Shalayne...still friends today because of it.
stayed up til 2am singing american idol to get the judges comments for the nu skin idol contest
worked 90 hours and my overtime pay was only 12.50 an hour...i love being an intern
Shannon's computer crashing...i have no idea how to help
having the bracelet i worked so hard to get thrown at Clara like it was no big deal

****Ruby Trips and Blue Diamond Trips - a grand total of 8...seems like more
being an intern, having an upgraded suite and my own room on my first trip...i didnt feel too bad, i was making $8.50
my introduction to guitar hero and rockband
listening to my favorite distributors while they think they are good at karaoke
collating...need i say more
driving down the canyon in Shelleys car, trying not to throw up in the back seat and watching Brittany - name changed for privacy reasons - brush her blonde hair over and over and over all over a brand new leather interior
millions of complaints
getting massages
sharing a room at the Bellagio with Shannon and Shelley....3 people, 2 beds and no view of the fountains...yet we still had a blast
caravan to vegas with hamilton and dave hanging out the window to get the perfect shot
pirates cove
coming home....always a favorite time after events

****Kick Off Meetings - 2008 and 2009
being in anaheim and orlando in the middle of january, need i say more.
downtown disney...dinner and churros
cheesecake factory 4 meals in a row
going to disneyworld with the girls and nate...never a dull moment when you do 5 parks in one day. it is especially fun while 7 months preggo.
having ride staff look at my belly and ask me if i read the sign (they are referring to the sentence that states "expectant mothers should not ride") i nod politely and continue through the line

distributor - *approaches me wearing a HUGE fur coat, has earings in both ears and rings on every finger* hi i am registering as a rock star, my name is steven ingledue. thats steven with a v ingle - due
fallon - *looks him up on the computer* oh im sorry you actually arent registered as a rockstar so your packet will be in the line with every one else over there
steven - *sweat instantly starts pouring from his head* whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa...everybody calm down. my name is steven ingledue and i am a rockstar.
fallon - well your packet isnt here in the rockstar section so you will ahve to go over there
steven - you are not understanding me, i am a ROCK STAR. my packet should be here.
fallon - well its not, so please head over to the other line and they will have no problem helping you out over there
steven - *sweat is dripping on to my station* listen...*raising voice* like i said before my name is Steven Ingledue and I AM A ROCK STAR
fallon - *tired of fighting him for a wristband and a pin - walks over to regular section, pulls out his packet and registers him*
- 120 hours in 6 days 4 months pregnant...not on intern wages anymore
- my mom and diane sharing a room with me as new distributors. i am so proud

my last day
came in at 730 cuz i couldnt sleep through contractions anymore
shannon took us out for team breakfast....we time contractions... 20 minutes apart
work through the rest of the day like its no big thing
come home for lunch and try to work out...too much pain...contractions are now 12 minutes a part.
go back to work for the afternoon planning on leaving around 330.
greg comes and informs us that there has been a huge mistake and we need to go help unload a semi trailer full of product or it will cost the company tens of thousands of dollars.
they look at me and tell me to go home...i refuse
4pm i am in the warehouse with the whole team unloading a semi. johnathan gets me a chair i am not doing well. we are about 7 minutes a part now. i go home at 5 and set up a nursery . then we do all the baby laundry and go out to dinner.
we check into the hospital at 10pm and have a baby the next morning. welcome to the world claire marie

yes...i will miss this place a lot. so much that i refuse to leave for good. i will still be at the call center part time at nights.
i love nu skin.
